It may vacuum in hordes of cruise ship passengers, but this St. John's institution is worthy of your attention and appetite. Located in historic Redcliffe Quay, "Pizzas" has been serving up exemplary pies and fresh fruit crushes since 1985. Look for all your favorite toppings, along with calzones, a sprinkling of pastas (Alfredo, primavera), and even a few wraps and baguettes for the NutriSlim crowd. You can also get pizza by the slice ($5–$8). Pizzas has a full bar, of course, befitting a business holed up (quite atmospherically) in a vintage rum warehouse. It also has an airport location if you're jonesing for a slice on your way out of town. And yes, that was Sir Mick Jagger sporting a Big Banana T-shirt.
