Restaurants in Arezzo
In all but the worst weather, Aretines turn out for the evening passeggiata. Two prime spots to sit on a terrace and enjoy a pre-dinner glass of wine or aperitif while watching the comings and goings are Caffe dei Costanti in Piazza San Francesco (tel. 0575/1824075) and Caffe Vasari (tel. 0575/21945) under the Loggia overlooking Piazza Grande, a good place to perch even in the rain. The most popular place in town for a quick bite is Dal Moro, Via Cavour 68 (tel. 0575/043208), with creative sandwiches and a huge selection of local cheeses and cold cuts. Cremì, Corso Italia 100 (tel. 333/976-6336) dishes up the best artisan gelato in town, along with crepes with a choice of sweet fillings.
