Locals love this place, hidden in a courtyard behind Patsy Dan’s Pub, and they throng here night after night for the gorgeous handmade pizzas, baked traditionally in a wood-fired oven. The atmosphere is very casual—it’s a bit like eating in someone’s living room, in a good way. In the summer, dining happens outside, on the bohemian courtyard, beneath the trees. It’s best to not be in a hurry, for the pizzas are made at a leisurely pace. But sometimes someone’s playing guitar, and everyone sings, and the mood is chill. Every pizza is good: The margarita is made with slow-roasted tomatoes and Irish mozzarella, the Sundance pairs spicy chorizo with caramelized onions. The pizza base is light as a feather, and there’s homemade ice cream for dessert.
