This is New Zealand's premier adventure playground, with 9 hectares (22 acres) devoted to crazy rides and attractions for children. For those under 10, there's a Kidz Kingdom with its own miniature versions of grown-up rides such and a carousel. Older kids will scream their lungs out on New Zealand's only corkscrew roller coaster, and there's more fun to be had on the log flume, on the death drop tower, on the mine train ride, and on several massive contraptions with names like Stratosphere and Power Surge that are designed to fling riders in the air until they cry for mercy. As theme parks go, it's not as elaborate as ones in North America and Europe (rides of the same type are generally available elsewhere) but the whole family will be entertained.
