Aldo's perfectly prepared Italian entrees, candlelit dining rooms, and attentive service make this Little Italy's finest restaurant. The main dining room, with its two-story ceiling and creamy white walls, is always a winner but sometimes you might prefer the smaller and quieter spaces on the restaurant's two floors. Take time to go over the extensive menu, filled as it is with such dishes as veal saltimbocca; tournedos rossini with foie gras, black truffle, and porcini mushroom sauce; and four-cheese risotto. There are wonderful grilled meats, and degustazione of pasta (two or three tasting portions for diners who can't decide between the linguine and clams, the mushroom risotto, or the papardelle bolognese—or any of the other house-made  pastas). The menu now offers traditional pastas such as carbonara.
