Set in a handsome 19th-century building that once housed the Banco Hispano, this hotel is convenient for exploring Barcelona’s waterfront as well as the old city. It’s less than a 5-minute walk from the Moll de la Fusta and just a few hundred yards from the Museu Picasso. Perhaps because it’s a former bank building, this lodging has a grander lobby than many old city hotels, especially those in Born. Rooms are rather less spacious than the lobby, though just as sumptuously appointed. Triple rooms with a sleeper couch are available.
