This 16th-century former noble home was transformed into a boutique hotel in 2003. The developers’ gentrification optimism about the strip between the Barri Gòtic and the harbor may have been a little premature (a low-rent backpacker hostel still operates two doors away). But it’s hard to fault the fabulous views across the Moll de la Fusta to Port Vell, or the upper-level views back to the Columbus Monument and up the coast to Port Olimpic. Rooms on the front (an extra charge for waterfront views) are larger and more romantic than some of the tighter quarters on the back that face into El Born.
