Yurbban Passage
Fashionable in black, this branch of the eco-conscious Yurbban chain (there are three in the city) occupies a former textile warehouse. What makes this one unique is the curious public thoroughfare, the Passatge de las Manufactures dating from 1878, that runs through the hotel connecting L’Eixample with the Born district. The guest rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed, with bookmatched wooden headboards and high-quality fittings—mostly in black. The industrial chic lounge cum workspace features a large shuffleboard game and a photobooth. There’s a spa and small rooftop pool, and just along the passage is the celebrated vegan restaurant Flax and Kale (p.###). All in all, something of a hipster paradise.
