Things To Do in Bayeux
Bayeux Attractions
This compact town is best explored on foot. At its heart in rue du Général de Dais is Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Bayeux, a Norman medieval structure consecrated in 1077 in the presence of William the Conqueror. It’s open daily 9am to 7pm (until 6pm Oct-Dec and from 8:30am Jun-Aug). Entrance is free, although guided visits are available for 6€ (check the tourist board website for times).
Save on tickets
If you plan to visit more than one museum, it’s worth getting a twin ticket. For 14€ you can visit two of the three museums we profile on this website. A triple ticket for 16€ gets you into all three.
