Kids of all ages will love this museum's interactive displays, including highlights like robotic dogs, musical sculptures, soap bubble rings blown out of a machine, and light and sound distortion machines. The interior is futuristic and very high-tech. Add in live shows on science (in Chinese), and this becomes the closest thing to a modern children's museum in Beijing. Your "smart" card, provided on arrival, helps activate each hands-on science station (English translations are provided). This is a fun place for a family to spend a few hours, plus you can enjoy all the fresh air and green space of Chaoyang Park outside. Buy your tickets at the museum booth outside the park's south or east gates and you won't have to buy park tickets as well.
