Restaurants in Boca Raton

Boca Raton and its surrounding area is the kind of place where you discuss dinner plans at the breakfast table. Nightlife in Boca means going out to a restaurant. But who cares? This is some of the best dining in South Florida. Delray Beach, on the other hand, has an excellent cuisine and nightlife scene. Best of both worlds.

Newest in Boca’s dining scene is an area right near—where else—the mall, laughingly called Restaurant Row, 5377 Town Center Rd., which has a popular Mexican restaurant El Camino, an Italian joint, a sushi place and several other options. Boca Center mall at 5150 Town Center Circle, is another dining hub, as is Mizner Park mall and Royal Palm Place.

Delray Beach’s Atlantic Avenue has more of a cuisine and nightlife scene. Known familiarly as “The Ave.,” Atlantic has a ton of very popular restaurants like City Oyster, 213 E. Atlantic Ave. (tel. 561/272-0220) beloved for its happy hour, Cut 432, a sceney steakhouse at 432 E. Atlantic Ave. (tel. 561/272-9898), and Tramonti, high end Italian, at 119 E. Atlantic Ave. (tel. 561/272-1944). A new place seems to open daily, and be sure to check out side streets, where sometimes the best places are hiding.
