Byzantium
If you wanted to go to Greece or Turkey, but somehow ended up in Bristol, a visit to this exotic-looking restaurant might be a good consolation prize. It's set in a converted Victorian warehouse, but looks more like an ancient bathhouse with its columns, arches, marble, stone, crystal and colored glass The setting, to be frank, is sometimes more interesting than the food, which treads the usual Mediterranean course, though we do like the appetizers here quite a bit (in fact, we'd recommend making a meal of those and skipping the mains).
