Hotels in Bruges
If you love the idea of small, atmospheric accommodations, perhaps on the banks of a picturesque canal, then Bruges is the place for you. Don’t even consider arriving without a room reservation because four million other visitors have had the same idea as you and they’re all heading for Bruges. The city is Belgium’s premier tourist destination and even though many visitors are day-trippers from Brussels, it’s essential to make your hotel reservations at least 2 weeks in advance, especially at the height of summer. Having said that, if you do come into town without a place to stay, go straight to the tourist office in Markt , which has a last-minute reservation service.
Parking in Bruges’s tangle of narrow streets is difficult; if your hotel doesn’t have a private garage, the city center holds six large public parking garages, all clearly marked on access roads and where charges will average 9€ per 24 hours . One of these will be within easy walking distance of your hotel, because everything is close by in tiny Bruges.
