The MAMBA houses more than 7,000 works of contemporary art (most of it Argentine) in a giant former tobacco warehouse in San Telmo. Completely renovated in 2010, it's still figuring out how to deal with so much space. Video displays and artist retrospectives highlight vanguard artists from around the world. Right next door is the city’s Contemporary Art Museum, known as the MACBA.
