The first bar to focus seriously on the Argentine wine scene, the Gran Bar Danzon is in an industrial loft-like space with cinder-block walls, exposed pipes, and behind the bar, hundreds of bottles of the country's best wines in racks ascending to the ceiling. It's appropriate the space is so spare, letting the wines steal the show: the selection ranges from vineyards in Salta in the north to Patagonia in the south. Many varietals are served by the glass from a large temperature-controlled wine dispenser while wine flight selections change regularly and come with tasting notes for each pour. There is also a restaurant serving Asian-inspired appetizers, sushi, and mostly meat mains.
