The orange groves of the upper village of Haut-de-Cagnes provide a beautiful setting for the narrow flower-filled streets and 17th- and 18th-century homes. The climb up from Cagnes-Ville is strenuous; fortunately, the free no. 44 minibus runs up there daily every 15 minutes year-round from Square Bordet in the town center. When on top, where you can enjoy the view from place du Château and have lunch or a drink at a pavement cafe, before hitting the enchanting Chateau-Musée Grimaldi.
Cros-de-Cagnes, the seaside part of Cagnes-Sur-Mer, is known for its 4km (2 1/2 miles) of pebble beach, the Plages de Cros-de-Cagnes.
