It’s just a rustic shack in a shady corner of town between the National Park and the beach, but Delrita Patty serves some of the most delicious snacks anywhere in Costa Rica. On offer are patties of two flavors: sweetened plantain or pineapple, made from the same recipe since this place was founded in 1967. And these empanada-like pastries are so unbelievably good, with a crisp outer shell and moist interior, that they might be all you want to eat in Cahuita. Cocadas and other coconut-based cookies are also offered on occasion.
