When tourists were just starting to discover Cahuita, a well-known local lady named Miss Edith Brown started serving them down-home Caribbean cooking from her front porch. Now she and her daughters (and other family members) run Restaurant Edith, which may not be long on decor but delivers the goods, made to order. Dig in to flavorful local specialties like rondon and jerk chicken, served with typical sides like breadfruit and coconut rice and beans. Keep in mind that service is Caribbean slow, and during high season you may have to share a table.
