Located in a former Greek Revival home on Camden’s main drag, this double-named restaurant brings an air of the tropics to Midcoast Maine. The restaurant preserved the home’s internal architecture, and so offers several small dining rooms, each with elaborate murals that’ll have you feeling warm and carefree, regardless the weather. Dinner options include local ceviche served with plantains; monkfish gallitos (think rolled tacos); and posole rojo, a hearty soup featuring locally-made Heiwa tofu. Lunches are also excellent here, and can be taken to go if you’d rather dine alfresco on the town green. And in a town where many restaurants are closed on Mondays, it’s nice to know there’s a fantastic option early in the week.
