Capulin Country Store, US 64/87 and NM 325 (tel. 575/278-3900) offers up excellent chicken-fried steak and volcano burgers (smothered in chili and cheese) to area ranchers daily from 11am to 3pm from May through October. You'll rub elbows with area ranchers here, the only dining spot within many miles.
