The monastery recently was converted to an eight-room bed-and-breakfast, and guests can explore the adjoining church at their leisure. Look for the church's medieval altarpieces and the remains of what may be an ancient Roman amphitheater nearby. Inside, you'll find a 16th-century triptych by artist Vicko Lovrin. The most popular event on Cavtat is the festival of Our Lady of the Snows on August 5, and the church plays a pivotal role in that. The church and monastery are at the north end of Cavtat harbor at the bottom of the hill on which Ivan Mestrovic's Racic Mausoleum stands.
