Bugok Oncheon (Bugok Hot Springs)
One of the best hot springs in the country, the Bugok Oncheon is located at the foot of Deokamsan. Bugok Hot Spring Tourist Special Complex includes a handful of tourist hotels, a small zoo, botanical gardens, and a shopping center. One of the few oncheons that contain sulfur, it contains many other minerals that are supposed to have health benefits. The hot springs themselves have an average temperature of about 172°F (78°C), hot enough to boil an egg. In fact, they serve eggs boiled in the hot springs at the Bugok Tourist Hotel. The largest facility is Bugok Hawaii. There is a festival to promote the hot springs every year in October.
