As Charlottetown’s hottest restaurant, Terre Rouge is consistently packed, so make a reservation. It’s hip, it’s trendy, sure, but its food is also deeply satisfying. That may be because all of the meats are cured in house, the veggies are likely to have been pulled from the ground that morning, and the fish snatched from the sea that day, too. Signature dishes include the charcuterie plate, the bone marrow, mussels in scrumptious wine sauce and crispy pork torchon. Food can be paired with a robust local craft beer. The adjacent market is stocked with mostly house-made or island-sourced—with some imported—hard-to-find goodies like artisanal cheeses, preserves, pastries, and charcuterie.
