There are two superb places to stay here. Ol Donyo Wuas is the arguably the most luxurious safari lodge in Kenya, while Campi ya Kanzi is among the country's most eco-friendly camps. The latter is set on Maasai community land, the Kuku Group Ranch, which spreads over 1,150 sq. km (449 sq. miles, two-thirds the size of the Mara National Reserve) and is green all year round, thanks to immense lava flows that support a rich, lush vegetation.
