Parque Biológico da Serra da Lousã
A stroll through forested slopes takes you to enclosures containing animals who live, or once lived, in the Portuguese interior. There are deer, foxes, boar, lynx, wolves and bear on show. The park also has a handicraft store and an excellent restaurant the Museu da Chanfana, which rather incongruously serves some of the animals you've just seen in the park (the best dish on the menu: chanfana, which is aged goat slow-cooked in red wine, a local specialty).
