Casa Pepe de la Judería
The best of the famous names of the Judería, Casa Pepe is a tourist restaurant—but a good one. All the Cordoban classics are here, alongside some interesting signature dishes such as venison with apple and mushrooms, and tuna tartar with ajo blanco, a cold almond soup. It’s not cheap, but the portions are substantial and the service excellent. The setting—a series of little rooms, decorated in a typical Andalusian style, spread over three floors in a handsome whitewashed building—celebrates the restaurant’s roots going back to the 1930s and includes some good paintings by Cordoban artists. Ask for a table on the roof terrace, which has lovely views of the cathedral bell tower. After dinner, savor it with a glass of local oloroso.
