When Riccardo Baracchi inherited a farm from his grandmother, he and his wife, Sylvia, created a stylish and sophisticated retreat where antiques-filled rooms are scattered among a villa and several stone farmhouses. As comfortably luxurious as the furnishings are, timbered ceilings and terracotta floors suggest the rural surroundings, where a pool and gardens are set amid 20 acres of olive groves and vineyards on the flanks of the Valdichiana. A luxurious spa with a walled garden enhances the sense of relaxation. Sylvia oversees one of the best restaurants in the area, serving refined Tuscan food in the refitted lemon house.
