The Blind Piper

This friendly, lively pub is one of the top places to eat in Caherdaniel. The menu strikes a nice balance between straightforward “pub grub” and something a little more sophisticated—cheeseburger made with brie on a focaccia bun, for example, or tempura-battered fish and chips. Live traditional music sessions liven the place up on Thursday nights from 9:30pm. The Blind Piper is a bit hard to find, partly because it doesn’t have a proper street address. Take the main N70 road through Caherdaniel, and then take the turn next to the big red building in the center of the village. (There’s usually a handmade sign here pointing you in the right direction.) The pub is painted bright yellow
