The Nordic Inn
Built when the resort opened in 1961, the Nordic Inn is my pick for on-mountain accommodations at the resort. The property was recently updated for the new millennium, with slick décor and a few quirky touches—think faux fur and licanse-plate art. The rooms feature historic photos of the area and an atmosphere meshing that of a ski lodge and a country inn. It is a short walk to the base area and the lifts, as well as the shuttle stop downtown.
