Curacao's latest oceanfront nightclub is really more of a day club, where you can sunbathe poolside, sipping cocktails and sampling sushi while grooving to the killer oceanfront views and relaxing lounge music. It markets a swanky jet-set ambience, but don’t let the "club" in the name lead you to think it's an exclusive members-only spot. St. Tropez is open to anyone with the scratch to afford private poolside cabanas, icy mojitos, and a menu of dishes that ranges from sushi to grilled meats to tapas. The large pool is surrounded by loungers and cabanas, where waitstaff bustle about, balancing trays of colorful drinks. Nearby lounge areas offer fruit-flavored waterpipes and pillowed nooks and niches in which to chill to mellow piped-in music. The energy picks up at happy hour, when DJs spin tunes—but don't expect a raucous dance floor. This is a lounge, in the languorous St. Tropez mode. The look is Miami-meets-Mykonos, with a backdrop of azure sea and sky.
