Daegu has several Western-style hotels throughout the city. Some of them are concentrated in the downtown area, though others are scattered around other outlying areas. Low-budget yeogwan (small inns) are concentrated near the train and bus terminals and in the downtown area. All of them are in the W25,000 to W30,000 range.
Inexpensive -- For budget digs, try the Sanjang Yeogwan (tel. 053/622-7782), 477-19 Duryu 3-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu, or the Greenjang Yeogwan (tel. 053/621-3553), 542-2 Daemyeong 5-dong, Namgu, Daegu. Both are no-frills joints with reasonably priced rooms starting at W30,000 for one or two people. There are dozens of yeogwan and love motels throughout the city, which are similar in price and quality.
