Getting There -- From Atlanta, take Hwy. 19/S.R. 400 North to S.R. 60, which you follow north for another 5 miles to reach Dahlonega.
Visitor Information -- The Dahlonega Chamber of Commerce, 13 S. Park St. (tel. 800/231-5543 or 706/864-3711; www.dahlonega.org), is open daily from 9am to 5:30pm. The staff distributes information about scenic attractions, state parks, and gold panning in the area.
