This fine-dining Italian eatery occupies the basement of a 1907 Victorian built as President Warren G. Harding’s winter home, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Brick walls make for a cozy, un-Florida-like ambience. Chef/owner Sam Moggio is a graduate of the Culinary Institute, and boy does it show! All pastas are homemade, and there are outstanding entrees, like snapper filet sautéed with artichokes and braised lamb shanks with vegetable risotto. For dessert: a sinful, semisweet flourless chocolate torte.
