An off-shoot of the pricier Inn at Furnace Creek, this once was a working ranch and the place still retains a folksy, casual, friendly vibe. Rooms are pleasant (though bathrooms can be small) and all have satellite TV and Wi-Fi—a rarity in national parks! They come in a number of categories from duplex cabins to fairly standard motel rooms with balconies to deluxe rooms with private patios that abut the pool courtyard. This year-round facility is at the center of civilization in the park, offering a golf course, several restaurants, and a pool that is a great escape from the fabled Death Valley heat.
