In addition to the hotels listed, two other chain options in Dillon are at I-15 exit 63. The Comfort Inn, 450 N. Interchange (tel. 800/442-4667 or 406/683-6831), has double rates from $79 to $109, and the Super 8 Motel, 550 N. Montana St. (tel. 800/800-8000 or 406/683-4288), has double rates from $69 to $104. Of the less expensive independents, I like the Sundowner Motel, 500 N. Montana St. (tel. 800/524-9746 or 406/683-2375), with double rates of $45 to $55.
Camping
Under new ownership, the year-round Dillon KOA, 735 W. Park St., Dillon, MT 59725 (tel. 406/683-2749), is right in town. Campers here will find 60 sites for RVs and 35 tent campsites. In addition to the usual bathhouse, there is a seasonal swimming pool, small grocery store, fishing supplies, propane, and an RV dump station. Rates are $28 to $38 for RV sites and $21 to $28 for tent sites. There are also four camping cabins (which share the campground's bathhouse) at $40 to $50 double.
