Why three stars? Top drawer food, and cocktails that are spiced up with local fruits and herbs—easily the best tipples in southern Costa Rica. As for the fare, it’s inspired by the local fish and produce more than it is by any particular culinary tradition. That leads to some mighty unique fusion dishes, like a ceviche-esque treatment of dorado with a mandarin and chile sauce, or stir fried veggies with creole spices stuffed into tacos or corn flan with vanilla ice cream.  The food is served in an open-air dining room with adjoining patios inside Esceleras Village commercial center, a few kilometers south of Dominical along the highway.
