Jumeirah Beach Park
Spanning 1km (3/4 miles) of coastline in the Jumeirah residential area, this is the city's best public beach. You can rent a lounge chair and umbrella, play beach volleyball, grab an ice cream or snack, or even bring your own food to barbecue. Bicycling, however, is not allowed here. In addition to sand and sea, there's a grassy area with landscaped gardens and a playground. The beach park generally has lifeguards on duty from 8am until sunset, after which swimming is not allowed. Mondays are exclusively for women and children.
