The only hint to the glitter balls and glitz, the mirrored mosaic wall, shocking pink bar stools, and smoky gray velvet sofas hidden within this Grade A-listed Georgian townhouse on George Street, the New Town's beating party heart, are the fake flowers cascading around the doorway. Tigerlily is not for shrinking violets. The 33 rooms and suites ooze sex appeal, seductively outfitted in bright Designers Guild fabrics, bespoke four posters, Perspex chairs and statement wallpapers. There are pre-loaded iPods, plasma screen televisions—and GHD hair straighteners. You might feel like you're on a hen night—and in the bar and basement nightclub, Lulu's you may well be—but if it's all a little too pink, check into the Black Room in the eaves, with its wicker egg chair and black toilet paper. It's fabulously over-the-top. However, breakfast in the dimly lit restaurant booths does feel a little "morning after the night before."
