Getting There -- Bigfork is located near the northeastern shores of Flathead Lake, 15 miles southeast of Kalispell by car, at the intersection of Mont. 35 and Mont. 83. Polson is at the southern tip of the lake, 33 miles southwest of Bigfork via Mont. 35 and 60 miles north of Missoula via U.S. 93. The nearest airports are Glacier Park International (tel. 406/257-5994; www.iflyglacier.com), north of the lake between Kalispell and Columbia Falls, and the Missoula International Airport (tel. 406/728-4381; www.flymissoula.com) in Missoula. Bigfork is just a little more than a 30-minute drive from Glacier Park International; Polson is roughly midway between the two airports.
