Florence’s Old Town, on the north bank of the Siuslaw River, is one of the most charming historic districts on the Oregon coast and the town’s chief attraction. The restored wood and brick buildings housing shops, galleries, and restaurants capture the flavor of a late-19th/early-20th-century fishing and logging village. There’s a promenade along the river, and a tiny park with a view down the riverfront at the site of the old ferry crossing.
