In 2014 the upper floor of Florence’s produce market reopened as a bustling shrine to Italian street food. Counters sell dishes from all over the country: pasta, authentic Neapolitan pizza, vegetarian and vegan fare, cold cuts and cheeses, fresh fish dishes, Chianina burgers and meatballs, and lots more. It works perfectly for families who can’t agree on a dinner choice. Or just stop by for a drink and soak up the buzz: There’s a beer bar (disappointing) and enoteca (superb), plus soccer games on the big screen.
