With a historic 1850s-era facade, this hotel enjoys one of the best locations in town for anyone fascinated by the architecture of the château of Fontainebleau. It’s directly in front of the cour des Adieux, site of Napoleon’s farewell to his troops before his exile to Elba. It’s been owned and managed by the same family for three generations. The well-maintained rooms are tastefully and cozily outfitted with a mix of modern and period furniture and have extra-long beds. Other than breakfast, no meals are served.
