Hotels in Fort McMurray

Fort McMurray proper is perhaps overserved with accommodation, due to the revolving door of business travelers blowing in and out of town on short assignments in the oil sands. This is both a good and bad thing -- good, in that there's little chance you won't get a room, and the vast majority of them are less than 10 years old; and bad, in that much of the accommodation has been built solely for that purpose, and as a result is overpriced and generically corporate. There's not a gem among them; uniform though they may be, however, they're also uniformly clean, well-kept, and efficiently run.
