You'll find chain hotels of every ilk off I-95. Most convenient to the Historic District is the strip along Va. 3 at Exit 130. This also is Fredericksburg's major suburban shopping area, with the Spotsylvania Mall and a multitude of other centers, plus a host of national chain restaurants.
