Highly respected across Ireland and beyond for its original, cutting-edge productions, the Druid has been one of the region’s foremost arts institutions since the 1970s. They’re particularly known for premiering new work from up-and-coming writers, so expect to find challenging, intelligent material staged here. They also produce new versions of classic plays by Irish, British, and European dramatists. Shows can sell out some time in advance, and are often out on the road (the Druid is a touring company), so it’s advisable to check what’s on and make bookings as far ahead as possible. Ticket prices range from around €15 to €45.
