From a position beside a commercial street in the center of town, adjacent to the Hellenia Yacht Club Hotel, you'll walk for a few minutes along a private footpath flanked by flowering vines. Just when you suspect you've made a wrong turn, you'll see a low-rise concrete bungalow adjacent to the sea. Its focal point is the terrace, surrounded by walls adorned with cheerful pottery. The antipasti selection, ranging from smoked tuna to swordfish, is the best in the area. More than a dozen pastas are made daily, including spaghetti alla bottarga (with tuna roe) and risotto with fresh seafood. Meat choices are limited, but dishes such as veal scaloppine in Marsala sauce are competently made. The chef specializes in freshly caught fish and grilled shrimp. One warning: don't dine here if you're in a hurry. Service can be quite, quite slow.
