There's also a spa for those in need of pampering. Lunch at the Windmill Junction (tel. 049/892-4504), which also sells antiques and Karoo products such as mohair blankets, or, just across the road, at the Coral Tree (tel. 049/892-5947) -- the latter is also open for dinner from Monday to Saturday and is surrounded by craft shops and a gallery. Other dining options include Coldstream (tel. 049/891-1181) and the amiable Kliphuis (tel. 049/892-2345), a stone cottage with tables indoors and out, a fine collection of hats, and a wide-ranging menu with plenty of venison and lamb (they serve a rack of roast lamb with strawberry and mint sauce).
