Livade is a town with one industry, and that is Zigante. There's nothing much here except a Zigante store selling truffle products and wine, and Restaurant Zigante, though several other restaurants are popping up along the town's main street. Besides selling truffle items and wines with the Zigante label, the store offers recipes for using truffles in seven languages, fresh cheese with truffles, and fresh truffles (at roughly $1,100 per pound). Ask about the truffle that put Zigante in the Guinness Book of World Records, and the clerk will show you a plastic model of the giant underground fungus. It looks like a small cantaloupe (a normal truffle is the size of an egg).
