Sant'Agostino
The entire interior of this 13th-century church was once covered with frescoes. Remaining today are the exquisitely detailed and colored cycle of the Life of St. Augustine, covering the walls and vaulting in the apse, and a Last Judgment on the arch outside it. The work was carried out by Eugubine master Ottaviano Nelli and his assistants in the 1420s. Nelli's brush also whipped up the St. Ubaldo and Two Saints fresco on the fifth altar of the right aisle, while Felice Damiani took care of St. Ambrogio Baptizing St. Augustine at the third altar.
