For being one of this city’s best Chinese restaurants, the prices here are surprisingly low—almost everything is under C$20. Cheelin specializes in both Szechuan and Beijing cuisine, meaning the chef doesn’t shy away from spiciness in dishes like Hunan haddock in chili tomato sauce or eggplant stuffed with shrimp and pork. I recommend starting with the fresh, house-made spring rolls and the gingery pan fried dumplings. On Fridays there’s an impressive lunch buffet. Cheelin offers takeout, as well as delivery to your hotel.
